Friends of Treborth Botanic Garden

Description: The Friends aim to help to develop North Wales' Botanic Garden at Treborth, near the Menai Bridge, Bangor, Gwynedd, as well as to provide meetings, workshops and plant sales to promote the benefits of gardening to people, the environment and biodiversity.

Abergele Garden Society

Caeathro Gardening Club  
CGC is due to restart October 2022, but yet to be confirmed

Description: local gardening club, not just for those from Caeathro but the whole surrounding area, including Caernarfon!. Guests always welcome.

Meetings: second Tuesday of the month, starting at 1pm, unless otherwise stated; CHANGED FROM 7pm. Raffle. Occasional plant or photographic competitions.

Subscriptions:  £8 per annum, due at the first meeting of the Autumn programme in October, BUT at second meeting in November in 2022, but can be paid at any subsequent meeting. Guests welcome, £2 per meeting.

Colwyn Bay Horticultural Society

Description: this Society organises two shows a year, has a Celebrity speaker at their AGM and an "Autumn Gardening Event". It does not have monthly meetings with speakers, although it is hoped to have occasional summer garden visits.

Llandudno Garden and Horticultural Society

Description: The club is for all those interested in gardening. An informal group, no gardening knowledge is expected, just an interest.

Description: 8 speakers a year on a variety of subjects and social evenings during the summer months, including garden visits. 2017 Plant Sale at NGS open weekend 24th and 25th June.

Tywyn Gardening Club

Description: An active gardening club that has monthly meetings, an annual outing in the summer to a well-known garden, smaller visits to places of members' choosing. In conjunction with Talyllyn Railway they decorate the Floral Train in August and arrange entertainment at Abergynolwyn Station. 
Members can bring plants/produce/ garden-oriented items to the meeting to swap or buy/sell. (If anything is sold, generally, half the money goes to the donor and half to the Garden Club. The Club is affiliated to the Merioneth Horticultural Society, this making us part of a larger group. The Society awards a bursary annually to a young person studying horticulture or arboriculture, the amount given being at the discretion of the committee; it will also provide prizes for certain classes in a show if we have one.

Meetings:
Meetings start at 7.30 pm, doors open 7.00 pm, on the 3rd Tuesday of the month, however some events take place on a Sunday so see programme for these. Visitors are welcome at all meetings in Holywell, £3 admission; no charge for members. The meetings normally include a talk by a guest speaker, a raffle, refreshments, a "plants of interest table", and a members plants table to add to group funds. There is ample opportunity to chat with hardy plant experts, get advice and top tips and perhaps cultivate some new friends in North Wales.

University of the Third Age - U3A    THIS INFORMATION MAY NO LONGER BE ACCURATE

The U3A is a National network of independent local U3A Groups which exist to further learning in an informal setting for those that are no longer in full-time employment. Each local U3A Group has regular weekly or monthly meetings on a range of subjects, and has a number of "Interest Groups" on specific subjects and some have gardening related activities. Not all U3A Groups have gardening groups though. The following are U3A Groups in North Wales that do have Gardening Interest groups.
